About us
Empowering unemployed women through the circular economy, building sustainable futures free from violence.
Our Story & Purpose
Transforming lives, restoring dignity, and creating economic opportunity for every woman.
Black Rock MS was founded to stand in the gap for unemployed women affected by gender-based violence. We empower through education, financial inclusion, and entrepreneurship—equipping women with the tools, confidence, and opportunities to build independent, sustainable futures.
Our Mission
To innovate and develop programmes through collaborative partnerships that equip unemployed women with skills and resources to access the circular economy, and to live empowered lives free from violence and fear.
Our Vision
To uplift, motivate and empower women by creating collaborations and partnerships that galvanise support for financial inclusion and entrepreneurship, while educating women about their rights, liberties, and freedoms.
Understanding the Challenge
The reality women face in our society
Higher Risk
Less-educated women face greater risks of physical violence and economic vulnerability.
Inequality
Limited security, freedoms and access to financial inclusion restrict long-term independence.
Empowerment
Building agency through informed decision-making, knowledge and sustainable opportunities.
Our Values
The principles that shape how we serve, empower and build sustainable opportunities for women.

We believe every woman has the potential to transform her life and build a better future.
01Dignity
We treat every woman with respect, compassion and understanding.

We find creative and practical solutions to complex challenges facing our communities.
03Community
We build supportive networks that create lasting and meaningful positive change.
04“She Trades” Business Incubator
Our model tackles waste through innovation and collaboration. We transform excess retail merchandise into opportunities for women entrepreneurs through our circular economy model.
Turning Excess Into Opportunity
Financial inclusion and entrepreneurship are enabled through access to the circular economy — the reuse and regeneration of merchandise and products in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way.
Excess merchandise accumulated by companies can be recovered, redistributed and resold for profit, creating pathways for disadvantaged women to become entrepreneurs.
